Courtney is NSUN’s Senior Policy and Campaigns manager. She leads on the strategy and delivery of NSUN’s policy work, as well as supporting members with their own campaigning. They are interested in critical approaches to “in system” organising and Mad/Disability justice work in its many forms.
Courtney’s background is in user-led work and survivor research. They are Executive Director at Make Space (a user-led group focussing on self-harm), and are a trustee at Self Injury Support. She holds a degree in Law and recently completed a PhD in Sociology at University of Exeter, exploring the impact of Evidence-Based Medicine on UK mental health policy/practice.
Courtney lives in Bristol. She loves art, eating good food, and is a practicing Buddhist.
