Andy (he/him) has over 25 years of public service experience, working in the charitable, public and private sectors delivering metal health services, leading on community engagement and co-production at a national and international level, plus service design and improvement. He is currently Director of Policy and Programmes at Essex Community Foundation responsible for the Foundation’s grantmaking, public policy and working with voluntary sector and partners to promote a thriving civil society in Essex.
Andy started his career in mental health, as a result of his own personal experience, training at the Institute of Psychiatry in cognitive behavioural interventions, and continues to utilise these skills and experience in his work. Andy maintains a professional and personal interest in mental wellbeing and in particular the use of voice and lived experience in the leadership, design and improvement of services.
